Grant

The UK government has announced its plan to decarbonise the nation through the Heat and Buildings Strategy.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK Government initiative to encourage more people in England and Wales by providing grants to property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps and, in limited circumstances, biomass boilers.

The BUS will run for 3 years starting April 2022. The Government has set aside a budget of £450 million under this scheme and aims to help existing small domestic buildings transition to low carbon heating systems for heating their homes.
